CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 11 Virginia women’s tennis team (6-0) travels to face No. 5 Michigan (3-1) on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 12 p.m. at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

CAVALIER NOTES
- Virginia remained at No. 11 in this week’s ITA Collegiate Tennis Coaches Poll
- Virginia has started the season 6-0 for the second time in three years. UVA opened 2022 with seven-straight wins
- The Cavaliers are a combined 28-0 in singles in dual matches this season
- Sara Ziodato leads the team in singles victories with a 17-4 record, including a 5-0 mark in dual matches
- Mélodie Collard is also 5-0 in dual matches. Elaine Chervinsky and Hibah Shaikh are both 4-0
- Shaikh and Natasha Subhash are 10-1 as a doubles team with a 4-0 record in dual matches
- Michigan and Virginia squared off twice last season. Michigan won 4-2 in the first round of the 2023 ITA National Team Indoor Championship. The teams met again in the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament, with Michigan again pulling out a 4-2 victory
- Michigan was ranked No. 4 to start the season but dipped to No. 5 after falling 4-2 at then No. 5 Oklahoma State
- Virginia leads the all-time series 6-4

- The Cavaliers will head to Seattle for the 2024 ITA National Team Indoor Championships, being held Feb. 9-12 at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and the Seattle Tennis Club
