FROM HEAD COACH ANDRES PEDROSO
“Good win for our team in some tough conditions outside in the cold and wind. The tougher the conditions, the better this team seems to compete. Harvard came out ready for us in the doubles and they had a great crowd that provided them with some good momentum going into the singles. To tell you the truth, I’m proud of our team because we had a few guys that weren’t feeling their best physically, but when doubles was over, I couldn’t tell. All of them wanted to keep battling with no hesitation because they take pride in wearing the Orange and Blue. Very complete match mentally by our Wahoos today and congrats to Harvard’s #6. He really impressed me today and played at a high level against an always tough competitor in Alex Kiefer.”
“It’s always so great to see [UVA alum] Sanam Singh, Harvard’s Associate Head Coach. Being around him brought back so many memories of hard he battled and how much pride he took in playing for our program. Sanam encapsulates everything that we talk about on a daily basis to our team about character, toughness and just being a good person. I know Harvard Tennis understands just how lucky they are to have Sanam in their corner.”
