CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 Virginia men’s tennis team (12-4, 4-0 ACC) returns home to host a pair of weekend matches. The Cavaliers will host Louisville (11-5, 1-1 ACC) on Friday, March 15 at 3 p.m. and Notre Dame (9-6, 1-1 ACC) on Sunday, March 17 at 1 p.m.
Both matches are scheduled to be played on the outdoor courts of the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort. Any weather-related changes will be posted here as well as on the @uvamenstennis social media accounts.

NOTING THE CAVALIERS
- Virginia remained at No. 3 in this week’s ITA rankings
- Virginia is 4-0 in the ACC with three of those victories coming against top 25 teams
- Senior Chris Rodesch is on a seven-match win streak and has improved to 12-2 (9-1 in dual matches). He is No. 9 in the latest ITA singles rankings
- Rodesch went 11-1 in singles last season in ACC matches. His lone loss was against Notre Dame’s Sebastian Dominko
- Rodesch and sophomore Måns Dahlberg have both started ACC play undefeated. Rodesch is 4-0 and Dahlberg is 3-0
- Dylan Dietrich earned his fifth ACC Freshman of the Week honor on Tuesday after going 2-0 in both doubles and singles last week in UVA’s road wins at Duke and North Carolina. Dietrich is 11-4 in singles and 9-3 in doubles
- Dietrich has won seven of his last eight completed matches. He is No. 61 in the latest singles rankings
- The Cavaliers are 11-2 at the No. 3 doubles court this season
- Senior Alex Kiefer is 6-0 at No. 3 doubles and 7-0 overall in doubles in dual matches
- Senior Jeffrey von der Schulenburg picked up his team-leading 16th singles win of the year at Duke
- Louisville is ranked No. 39 in the latest ITA team rankings
- Virginia is 13-2 all time against the Cardinals and has won the last four meetings
- Notre Dame is ranked No. 50 in the latest ITA team rankings
- Virginia is 19-2 all time against the Irish and has won the last five meetings
ON THE HORIZON
- The Cavaliers are back on the road next weekend
- They will play at Miami on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. (please note the change in that match time)
- Virginia closes out the trip by playing at No. 13 Florida State on Sunday, March 24 at 1 p.m.
