Hannah Viller Moeller plays two finals Tuesday at ITA regionals.

STANFORD – Hannah Viller Moeller continued an outstanding start to the 2023-24 season when the California women’s tennis senior advanced to the finals of both singles and – with freshman Mao Mushika – doubles Monday at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships. The Copenhagen, Denmark, native defeated Stanford’s second-seeded Alexandra Yepifanova, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3, in the singles semifinals, and she paired with Mushika to beat the Cardinal’s third-seeded Yepifanova and Connie Ma, 7-6(6), 2-6, 10-7, in the doubles semis.

With Monday’s victories, Viller Moeller improved to 10-1 in singles and the pair of Viller Moeller and Mushika stayed perfect at 9-0 this season.

Cal’s top-seeded and ninth-ranked Jessica Alsola and Katja Wiersholm earned a spot opposite their seventh-seeded teammates in the doubles final after beating Washington’s eighth-seeded Astrid Olsen and Alexia Jacobs, 6-3, 7-5, on Monday.

In Tuesday’s singles final, Viller Moeller will face Stanford’s Cardinal’s third-seeded and 26th-ranked Connie Ma at 10:30 a.m. PT. The doubles final, the last match of ITA regionals on The Farm, will start after Viller Moeller gets a suitable amount of rest after singles.
