Utah adds Yuhan Liu to the roster


SALT LAKE CITY –  The University of Utah women’s tennis head coach, Ric Mortera, has officially announced the addition of Yuhan Liu, a transfer from Arkansas to the roster. She is set to join the Utes for the 2023-24 season.

“We are very much looking forward to Yuhan joining our program,” Mortera said. “She has great upside and we strongly believe she is just beginning to scratch the surface of her potential. She is going to bring a lot to our program both from a tennis standpoint and a cultural one as well. We are excited to welcome her to the Ute family.” 

Yuhan competed internationally most recently at the National Chinese Tennis Association tournament where she placed 3rd in singles and in doubles play with a pro ranking of 10. She has an ITF Junior ranking of 353 and was the J5 Thailand singles champion.

While at Arkansas she played No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles. She held a high ITF World Junior Ranking of #353.
