SAN DIEGO, Calif. – USC newcomers continue to gain collegiate experience as freshman Connor Church led the charge with a singles main draw semifinal appearance throughout the weekend, as it wrapped up competition at the SoCal Intercollegiate Championship on Sunday, Sept. 29.
After recording their first appearances as Trojans last week the trio of newcomers – freshman Niels Hoffmann, Church and graduate student Tristan Bradley – continued their successful efforts at the annual SoCal Intercollegiate Championship. Church was at the forefront of the success as he earned a spot in the singles main draw semifinals before falling to No. 1-seeded Neo Niedner. Hoffmann suffered the same fate, as he fell in the singles main draw quarterfinals to Niedner.
On the doubles side, Hoffmann and Bradley earned a spot in the quarterfinals before dropping their match against the San Diego pairing of Blake Kasday and Adrien Berrut.
