USC Women’s Tennis Sweeps Women of Troy invite

LOS ANGELES – USC freshman Jana Hossam won the singles title, while senior Sloane Morra and freshman Anya Murthy captured the doubles title to sweep the four-day Women of Troy Invite at Marks Stadium. 
 
For the third consecutive season, USC captured the doubles title at the Women of Troy Invite as Morra and Murthy combined to go 2-0 as a duo during the course of the tournament. 
 
In singles, Trojan rookie Hossam went undefeated to capture the invite’s individual crown. The freshman was the only player at the tournament to turn in four singles wins.  She also recorded a win in doubles, partnering up with Trojan Parker Fry to take down BYU’s Bluestein/Kovick 6-4. 
 
Trojan freshmen Hossam, Murthy and Simone Kay all impressed during their Marks Stadium debuts over the weekend, with Hossam and Murthy both winning the first collegiate tournaments of their career.
