USC women’s tennis has a pair of Trojans heading into NCAA Individual competition, with two Trojans locked in for singles play and one USC duo in that draw. Senior Eryn Cayetano and freshman Maddy Sieg have secured their spots in the 64-player NCAA Singles draw, while Cayetano and Sieg will make their NCAA doubles debut.

No. 11 Sieg carries a 27-2 overall singles record this season, going 117-1 in dual action. Carrying a three-match win streak, Sieg reached a career best singles ranking ahead of the beginning of the 2022-23 dual match season, debuting at No. 2 back in November. In Pac-12 singles action, the freshman went 9-1. Throughout the year, Sieg has beaten ten ranked opponents, including two in the top-15. This season, the freshman received Pac-12 Player of the Week honors during her USC debut and accumulated a 16-match unbeaten streak. Sieg will make her NCAA Singles Championship debut as she faces No. 59 Layne Sleeth of Oklahoma during the first round.

This season, the Southern California native has tallied an overall singles record of 22-10 (11-7 dual) while playing primarily at the No. 3 position for the Trojans. Cayetano will face No. 39 Kylie Collins of LSU in the first round.

The duo will make their NCAA doubles debut this season, facing Stanford’s No. 18 Angelica Blake and Alexis Blokhina in the first round.  Cayetano and Sieg previously faced the Cardinal duo back in March, falling 6-4.
