LOS ANGELES – The USC women’s tennis team, led by eighth-year head coach Alison Swain, is set to host its first event of the fall this weekend as the Trojans host five schools for the four-day Women of Troy Invite. The event is scheduled to run Thurs., Oct. 3 through Sun., Oct. 6 at Marks Stadium.
This year, USC will host BYU, Pepperdine, Wisconsin, UCSB and Tennessee for the four-day invite.
Five Trojans will be in action this weekend as Parker Fry, Lily Fairclough, Sloane Morra, Jana Hossam and Anya Murthy will represent USC in the tournament. Hossam and Murthy will make their Marks Stadium debuts as the only two newcomers set to compete in the event.
Last season, USC defended their home court at the Women of Troy Invite in doubles play as Parker Fry and senior Naomi Cheong secured the hardware in the duo’s championship. The win marked the second consecutive season the Trojans have won the doubles title at their own event.
