SEATTLE – No. 41 Oregon saw its three-match winning streak come to an end Sunday afternoon, as No. 18 Washington came away with a 4-0 Pac-12 win at Nordstrom Tennis Center.

Oregon (11-5, 4-2) failed to earn the doubles point for just the fifth time this season, as UW quickly picked up 6-1 wins at Nos. 2 and 3. Myah Petchey and Karin Young played their first match of the season at the second spot in the lineup while Jo-Yee Chan and Madisen Olsen were paired together for the first time this season.

Sophie Luescher and Uxia Martinez Moral were leading UW’s top duo of Hikaru Sato and Zehra Suko, 4-1, when the doubles point was decided. UO was playing without Ares Teixido Garcia, who primarily has played at the No. 2 spot in both the singles and doubles lineups after she withdrew from her match on Friday at Washington State.

The Huskies’ singles lineup featured three nationally ranked players in No. 102 Astrid Olsen, No. 115 Sato and No. 119 Jennifer Kerr.

Kerr overtook Young, 6-1, 6-1, and Erika Matsuda won in straight sets against Olsen, 6-1, 6-0, to give Washington a 3-0 lead. Olsen saw her first action of the spring dual season.

Chan rebounded from a 6-1 setback in the opening set to force a tiebreak in the second before succumbing, 7-6 (5), against UW’s Melissa Sakar.

Petchey, going against Sarah-Maude Fortin, took her match to a third set before the match was clinched. Petchey led 3-0 in the third set after taking set two, 6-3.

Both Luescher and Martinez Moral were in tight battles in their respective second sets when the match was completed. Luescher owned a 6-5 lead over Satu, seeking to force a third set, while Martinez Moral and Olsen were knotted at 5-all after Olsen claimed the opening set, 6-4.

The Ducks lost for just the third time in the last eight meetings between the sides and Washington leads the all-time series 41-13. UO will return home for a four-match homestand starting Friday against Stanford at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday against California at 11 a.m.
