The Demon Deacons most recently hosted the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Regionals at the Wake Forest tennis complex (Oct. 13-17), collecting some hardware through the event.

Senior Maddie Lynch cruised her way to a title win in the B2 Singles flight, winning four total matches and securing the championship in a Sunday morning matchup versus Zoe Huffman of UNC Wilmington (Oct. 16). That same afternoon, No. 3 Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth were crowned champions of the A2 Doubles division after taking down Cameron Morra and Chloe Beck of Big Four foe Duke University in straight sets. The victory earned the two a berth to the ITA Fall Nationals.

The Carolina Regionals championships were all firsts for Brylin, Killingsworth, and Lynch. No. 2 Sarah Hamner of South Carolina won the A2 Singles Championship.
