MILWAUKEE, Wis. – After three days of competing at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and Fall Spotlight open, the North Carolina women’s tennis team saw multiple wins along with a tournament winner.
In the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, senior Reilly Tran recorded a perfect 5-0 record to win the women’s singles tournament. In the final, Tran defeated Wisconsin’s Xinyu Cai, 6-2, 6-4.
Thea Rabman advanced to the quarterfinals before dropping her first match.
In Cary, Carson Tanguilig dropped her third round singles match and both UNC doubles pairs chose to walkover prior to Sunday’s matches.
The Tar Heels will await the draw for the ITA Women’s All-American Championship that begins this Saturday at the Cary Tennis Park.
