STANFORD, Calif. – Dzianis Zharyn and Cesar Bouchelaghem are into the finals of the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships, the first Husky pair to make the final since 2018. On Monday, at Stanford’s Taube Tennis Stadium, they will try to become the first Husky doubles champs since 2005.

Switching to a best of three sets format for today’s semifinals, the top-seeded Husky pair fought off a challenge from the third-seeded Oregon duo of Vandecasteele and Cierny. Zharyn and Bouchelaghem took it, 7-5, 6-4.

In tomorrow’s final, slated for a 10 a.m. start, they will face Peter Alam and Justas Trainauskas of Pacific, a pair that has already upset the No. 2 and No. 4 seeds.

The winner of the tournament will earn a spot in the ITA Fall National Championships.
