CARY, N.C. – The Clemson men’s tennis team finished their run at ITA Regionals in Cary, N.C. in the round of 16 Monday afternoon. Ryuhei Azuma and Spencer Whitaker were unable to beat Iziquierdo Luque/Wayand from NC State to advance, dropping the match 6-3, 6-2.
“The boys got beat by a better team today,” said Head Coach Robbie Weiss. “They were outplayed but competed well and can take away a lot of positives from the tournament. We have work to do and can’t wait to get back to Clemson and get the boys better.”
Whitaker/Azuma and the Tigers will return for their final fall tournament at the Liberty Dual on Nov. 4-6.
