MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Clemson men’s tennis team (10-9, 1-6 ACC) fell to Miami (12-6, 3-4 ACC) on Friday evening at Hard Rock Stadium, 7-0.
The Hurricanes took 6-2 wins on Courts 2 and 3 in doubles to get ahead early in the match.
Miami took its momentum from singles into doubles play, earning victories on every court. Ryuhei Azuma fought but fell to No. 50 Dan Martin 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) while Nini Dica and Jorge Plans Gonzalez took their opponents to three sets but couldn’t secure the win.
Up next, the Tigers will travel to No. 17 Florida State to take on the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Sunday at noon.
