Three Gators Prepare for the 2024 NCAA Tennis Individual Championship


Florida has one singles player and one doubles pair competing in the inaugural fall NCAA Tennis Individual Championship

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The draws for the 2024-25 NCAA Men’s Tennis NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships were released with Henry Jefferson, Tanapatt Nirundorn and Jeremy Jin set to compete at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. This is year one of a two-year pilot for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be in the spring. The singles and doubles competition will begin Nov. 19-24 at the Hurd Tennis Center as Baylor University serves as host.

Tanapatt Nirundorn and Henry Jefferson secured their place in doubles competition after capturing the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Title. The duo pulled off two upset wins in the tournament – against No. 33 Thomas Paulsell/Ryan Colby (Georgia) in the quarterfinals and No. 2 Blaydes/Ratiu (Georgia) in the finals – to secure the title.

Nirundorn and Jefferson will open doubles action against Cooper Williams and Theo Winegar of Duke on Wednesday.

Jeremy Jin earned his bid in the singles competition at the ITA Sectionals in Tallahassee. Jin defeated Javier Montoya (South Alabama) and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif (FSU) in straight sets before entering the quarterfinals. His quarterfinal victory over Jack Loutit (Kentucky) solidified his place in the NCAA Singles Championships.

Jin will face Michael Zehng (Columbia) on Nov. 19 and is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
