Terps Team, Three Individuals Collect ITA Academic Honors


TEMPE, Ariz. – The Maryland women’s tennis team was tabbed a 2022 Division I Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, it was announced on Monday. In addition, the women’s team had three student-athletes recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes in junior Jojo Bach, freshman Francesca Feodorov and freshman Kallista Liu.

The ITA All-Academic Team Award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale. All varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must be a varsity letter winner, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
