DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Missouri tennis team closes out day one of play at the Drake Invite hosted by Drake University at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center on Nov. 3.
Mizzou opened play with doubles matches, picking up one win for the day. Graduate student Emelie Schwarte and sophomore Andrea Artimedi won against S. Pinto and M. Lippert, scoring 7-6 and 7-4 in the tiebreak. Graduate student Gabriela Martinez, senior Romary Cardenas Rifka, junior Sophia McLellan and Artemedi all saw singles action against Drake University in the afternoon of the competition.
The Tigers will begin action tomorrow, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. with doubles matches against St. Thomas, with singles matches against Minnesota following at 11 a.m.

UP NEXT
Closing out the fall season, the Tigers will make their return to the courts on January 9 against Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz.
