PRINCETON, N.J. – After a successful first day of action at the Princeton Fall Invitational, the Rutgers women’s tennis team kept it going with a productive second day at the tournament.
The Scarlet Knights recorded three doubles and three singles victories against competitors from LIU and Princeton.
In total, the team has now earned five doubles and eight singles wins during the three-day tournament.
Doubles
The pair of Mai Nguyen/Tara Chilton recorded their fourth win this fall, defeating their opponent from LIU, 8-4. The duos of Amira Badawi/Minchae Kim (8-2) and Jackeline Lopez/Arina Valitova (8-3) followed up with dominating victories.
Singles
Jackeline Lopez secured her second consecutive win of the weekend in singles, battled her opposition from Princeton in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 10-8.
Chloe Brown (3-6, 6-3, 10-6) and Daira Cardenas (6-0, 6-3) also picked up their second victories in a row to lead RU in singles.
