Tennis Completes Fall Opener At Army Invite

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Syracuse tennis team wrapped up its first competition of the fall season on the road at the Army Invitational. 

 

Over 20 teams from across the northeast were represented at the invite. The Orange finished the weekend with over 20 wins and just seven losses in singles and doubles action over the weekend.

 

The duo of Polina Kozyreva and Miyuka Kimoto claimed victory in the doubles flight over the weekend at the invitational. The pair recorded a 7-6 win over Fenton and Golod from Sacred Heart before taking down duo’s from Seton Hall, Bucknell, and Cornell, which all came in 6-2 victories. 

 

‘Cuse will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 30th, when the Orange travel to Dartmouth, Mass for ITA regional competition.
