Tech played in Elon Invitational from Oct. 25-27

DAY 3 – 

Elon, N.C. – Patrik Jurina won the finals of Singles D 6-2, 6-3, against Juan Andres Listo from East Tennessee State University. 

DAY 2 – 

Elon, N.C. – On the second day of competition, Patrik Jurina won the quarter finals of Singles D. He won by a score of 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 against Elon University’s Alonso Roca. He went on to win in the semifinals round on Saturday as well. He won 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 against Zachary Portnoy of University of Richmond. 

Frank Thompson picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win against Nithis Baalaji Latha Nallusamy of South Carolina State. He ranked first in group 2 after also winning against North Carolina Central University’s Leo Fortier-Gariepy, 6-2, 7-6, with a 7-2 tiebreaker score. 

DAY 1 – 

Elon, N.C. – The Hokies started competition in Elon on Friday.

Damian Sancilio defeated Kaua Santos from North Carolina A&T State University by a score of 6-2, 6-3. 

Patrik Jurina picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over North Carolina Central University’s Oliver Saarinen. 

Frank Thompson also won his singles match 6-2, 6-2 over Luka Cvjetkovic of Norfolk State. 

Duos pair Frank Thompson and Patrik Jurina defeated UNC Charlotte 6-1.
