BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech women’s tennis is set to host a doubleheader against a pair of commonwealth foes in Richmond and Radford on Saturday.

COMING OUT HOT

Through the first three matches of the season the Hokies are unscathed with a 3-0 mark that includes two 7-0 sweeps and a 16-1 singles record. Last Sunday, Tech completed their first doubleheader of the season with victories over ETSU and Davidson. Özlem Uslu continues to impress in her first season of collegiate tennis with a 3-0 singles record on court two. After dropping her first singles match of the season to ETSU’s Laylo Bakhodirova, Dariya Radulova showed her tenacity in back and forth affair on court one against Davidson. The pride of Bulgaria dug an early 1-3 hole in the third set but never wavered, completing the sweep for Tech, 3-6, 6-4, 110-05.
