The Lead: After a win over No. 16 Florida in the Super Regional round, the top-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels will face the No. 8 Texas Longhorns in the NCAA Quarterfinals at the United States Tennis Association’s national campus in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, May 17 at 5 p.m. The winner between the Tar heels and Longhorns will advance to the NCAA Semifinals on Friday, May 19.

With a win over Florida in the Super Regional round, UNC posted a perfect 18-0 record at home this season. 18 wins at home is a new program record.

UNC has made it to the Elite 8 for the 12th time in program history, all coming after 2002.

With a win over Texas, North Carolina would capture its 33rd victory of the season. 33 wins is a single season program record that has only been eclipsed twice (2017, 2019).

Last week, Fiona Crawley won her 118th singles match as a Tar Heel. She is now in sole possession of eighth place in all-time singles victories at UNC and is now one win shy of tying Jenna Long for seventh place all-time.
