FLUSHING, N.Y. – After winning the 2023 NCAA Doubles Championship and receiving a US Open Wildcard bid, Tar Heel teammates Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig fell in the first round of the US Open on Thursday.
The duo fell to Irina Khromacheva and Daria Saville 2-6, 2-6.
Now, the Tar Heels will prepare for the beginning of the 2023-24 tennis season. The reigning National Champions are set to return to the court on September 15th when they host the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill.
