Arizona State (13-10, 2-6 Pac-12) is coming off a hard fought loss against No. 16 University of Arizona where the Sun Devils took two singles matches thanks to Jacob Bullard and No. 40 Murphy Cassone.

ASU now has its sights set on Oregon. The Sun Devils battled against the Ducks twice this season, with both matches ending in a win for the Devils. They first faced the Ducks in the Diablos Tennis Tournament where ASU won in dominant fashion, 4-0, with great play from the entire team. The second matchup on April 9 at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe ended in a 4-3 win where the Sun Devils took the doubles point and won three singles matches courtesy of No. 40 Murphy Cassone, Max McKennon and Spencer Brachman.

The Sun Devils feature Murphy Cassone, ranked No. 40 nationally, and the doubles team of Jacob Bullard and Constantinos Koshis who are ranked No. 54 nationally.

The No. 55 Oregon Ducks (13-23, 2-6 Pac-12) most recent match was a win against No. 17 Stanford Cardinal, 4-1. This win snapped a five-match losing streak for the Ducks which were all against conference opponents. The Ducks roster includes the No. 34 nationally ranked doubles team of Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandercasteele.

The winner of Wednesday’s play-in match will move on to face the No. 1 seed USC Trojans on Thursday, April 27 at 12:00 P.M. MST.
