Sun Devils Close Out Home Schedule With No. 54 Colorado, No. 48 Utah


TEMPE, Ariz. – Just like they did last spring, the No. 23 Sun Devils (14-5 4-3), are getting hot at just the right time.

Winners of two straight against No. 29 USC and No. 26 UCLA, the Sun Devils will look to close out the home schedule with an emphatic finish against No. 54 Colorado (Friday, April 14, 1:30 p.m. MST) and No. 48 Utah (Saturday, April 15, 12 p.m. MST).

Saturday’s contest will serve as Senior Day, where the Sun Devils will recognize and honor Sedona Gallagher and Domenika Turkovic prior to the start of play.

Fans can follow along with the action via live stats, which will be made available for both matches this weekend. Lou Malnati’s Food Truck will be on-site during the match against the Utes, where 20 percent of proceeds will go to the Women’s Tennis program.

After last weekend’s sweep of the Trojans and Bruins, the Sun Devils have now won 18 consecutive matches at the Whiteman Tennis Center dating back to March 5, 2022, including a perfect 13-0 this spring.

  • The Sun Devils were rewarded for their big weekend by surging seven spots in the latest ITA team rankings, currently sitting at No. 23 in the nation in the latest ITA polls. It’s their first time back in the top-25 since early March and their highest ranking since being listed at No. 19 in mid-February.
  • Freshman Chelsea Fontenel is ranked as the No. 98 singles player in the nation, good for the highest ranking in her collegiate career. The Domenika Turkovic/Patricija Spaka duo is listed at No. 20 in doubles.
  • Marianna Argyrokastriti continues to be rock-solid for the Sun Devils this spring. After a pair of wins against USC and UCLA over the weekend, she now owns a team-best 17 singles wins this spring.
