ORLANDO, FLA. – Steven Forman‘s bid ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday when he fell to the No. 3 seed, University of Tennessee’s Adam Walton.
Forman advanced past the first round by defeating Tyler Stice of Auburn 7-6, 7-5 on Monday. He bounced back from an early break against Stice to win a 10-8 tiebreaker in the first set, before putting away an opponent who is a two-time first team all-SEC player for the Tigers.
In the second round, Walton bested Forman 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the Round of 16.
Forman was part of a Northwestern men’s squad that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament earlier this month, as Forman captured 1st Team All-Big Ten honors during his senior season in Evanston.
