SEATTLE – Husky Women’s Tennis Head Coach Robin Stephenson announced the signing of two new Huskies for the 2023-24 season on National Signing Day. Alexia Jacobs from Calgary, Canada will be a freshman for the Dawgs next fall, while Eleni Louka will transfer to Washington after completing the 2023 season at Clemson, where she has been nationally ranked on multiple occasions.
Jacobs and Louka are the first additions for next year.
Louka will compete for a fourth year for Clemson this spring. She has a career-high ITA singles ranking of No. 50 and a career-high doubles ranking of No. 29. She ended the 2021 season ranked 98th nationally and was 72nd in the 2021-22 preseason singles rankings. Louka was 10-10 in dual matches in 2022 playing at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for the Tigers as they finished the season ranked 63rd.
Originally from Cyprus, Louka has been a Fed Cup team member for her home country since 2016. Before competing in the NCAA, she was the No. 2-ranked woman in Cyprus and was ranked as high as No. 128 in U18 by the ITF.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Eleni joining us next year,” says Stephenson. “It was evident throughout the recruiting process that she is a very special person and completely aligns with the values of our program. First and foremost, she is going to make a significant impact on our team because of who she is and the kind of teammate that she will be. She is excited to help take the program to new heights and with her experience playing in the top positions in the ACC we have no doubt that she will make an immediate impact in our lineup and to our success.

Jacobs has a career-high ITF Junior Rankings of No. 132. She has captured a number of junior titles including the J3 Montreal 2021 tournament.
“Alexia and her family are exactly the type of people that we want to be part of our program,” says Stephenson. “She is a high character person with a strong work ethic and a desire to be the best that she can be. Her communication in the recruiting process was some of the best I have seen, and she is a high-level person in so many ways. She wants to maximize her potential and is committed to the goals of the program and the process it takes to get there.
