NEW YORK—Dog days come to the US Open this week with temperatures projected to hit the 90s.
The tournament has already witnessed the squirrel session.

During Saturday night’s doubles match between Greet Minnen and Yanina Wickmayer against Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonarea, the squirrel played party crasher during one point.

The chair umpire noticed the court intruder and called a let to replay the point. The squirrel eventually scrambled over the back fence and off Court 5.
