Six USC Men’s Tennis Players Bound for ITA Southwest Regional Championships

Men’s Tennis | October 19, 2022

Six members of the USC men’s tennis team will be making moves in Malibu this weekend, with the ITA Southwest Regional Championships running Oct. 20-24 at Pepperdine. The Trojans will be looking to make some deep runs at the event, after bringing home some hardware last season.

It’s a chance for USC seniors Stefan Dostanic and Samuel Rubell to improve on the efforts put forth at the event in 2021, with both Trojans falling in the singles semifinals. As a freshman, Dostan reached the singles final and the doubles semifinal. This time around, Dostanic is the No. 1 seed in the singles draw and is paired with Bradley Frye as the No. 1 seeded team in the doubles draw. Trojans Peter Makk and Lodewijk Westrate are the No. 2 seeded team in the doubles draw.

Last season, Dostanic and Rubell won it all on the doubles courts in Malibu, defeating UCLA’s Revelli/Zahraj 6-3, 6-4. Trojans Bradley Frye and Peter Makk reached the doubles semifinals in 2021.

Complete schedule and draws can be reached through the Tournament Central.
