FLORENCE, S.C. – Freshman Maria Sholokhova of the Wisconsin women’s tennis team started her tournament schedule in the Florence 25K from South Carolina earlier today. She participated in the first round of qualifying and came away with a three-set victory on day one.
Tomorrow she will be playing for a spot in the main draw. The dates of this tournament are Monday, Oct.10 to Wednesday, Oct. 19.
