Emotions are running high in the sports world as Serena Williams takes on what is expected to be the final US Open tournament of her career. In early August, Williams announced her retirement with the 2022 US Open set to be her last, though of course anything can happen, as sports fans are well aware.
Ahead of Monday’s event, tennis fans showed up in droves to support Williams for possibly the final time in New York. And when fans got their first glimpse of Williams as she walked out onto the court, people could not help but notice the similarities to her No. 1 fan in the stands.
Sitting in the front row, wearing the exact same sparkly outfit as Williams, was her four-year-old daughter Olympia!
Eagle-eyed fans also caught on to Olympia wearing white beads in her braids, much like Williams did during her first US Open in 1999!
Like mother, like daughter!
