Serena Williams announced her intention to retire after this year’s U.S. Open, closing the door on one of the most iconic careers in sports. Williams has an Open Era record 23 Grand Slam singles titles. Her retirement, which was discussed in a Vogue article that will hit newsstands in September.
While Williams is a fashion icon off the court, she has consistently brought style to the court over her two-decade career.
From legendary Wimbledon whites to red, white and blue for the Olympics, Williams has worn nearly every color on the rainbow. Her black catsuit in 2018 — which helped control and prevent blood clots after giving birth to her daughter — was both a fashion statement and functional.
Here are seven of Serena’s recent most iconic looks over the course of her career (so far)!
