STANFORD, Calif. – Remaining atop the Pac-12 standings with its sixth shutout in the past seven games, No. 18 Stanford men’s tennis rolled to a 4-0 victory over Utah at Taube Family Tennis Center. Stanford improves to 13-4 this season with a perfect 5-0 mark in Pac-12 competition.
Prior to the match, Stanford celebrated its senior class of Aryan Chaudhary, Filip Kolasinski and Neel Rajesh, with all three players contributing to the win.
The Cardinal jumped ahead in doubles play with wins on courts two and three. Chaudhary and Harsh Hemang Parikh scored a 6-2 victory on court three, while Samir Banerjee and Nishesh Basavareddy clinched the lead shortly after with a 6-2 win of their own on court two.
Chaudhary continued his strong day with a convincing win on court five, 6-1, 6-2. The senior success led to a 3-0 win after Kolasinski netted a 6-4, 6-3 victory on court six. Banerjee closed the match for his team-leading 13th singles win of the year, triumphing 6-1, 7-5 in the top position.
Stanford returns to action on Friday, April 12 at No. 25 UCLA. The first serve is set for 1:30 p.m.
