Senior Day Sweep - Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, Calif. – No. 5 Stanford wrapped up a dominant weekend at home with a 4-0 sweep of No. 59 Oregon on Sunday afternoon.

The win came on the heels of another 4-0 sweep of No. 3 Pepperdine on Friday, as the Cardinal wrapped up its regular-season home slate with a 10-1 mark. Senior India Houghton clinched her team-leading fifth match of the season with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Tilde Jagare on Court 6 before being honored in a post-match ceremony alongside Ana Geller

Geller herself saw her first action of the conference season at No. 3 doubles, pairing with Valencia Xu for a 6-3 win over Candela Aparisi and Olivia Symons.

Alexandra Yepifanova, who beat the nation’s No. 8 player on Friday, had little trouble with Nine Giessler on Court 2, dropping just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win.

Graduate student Angelica Blake cruised past Sophie Luescher on Court 1, 6-1, 6-2.

Stanford hits the road for its final three regular-season matches at Washington State (April 12), Washington (April 14) and California (April 19) before heading to Ojai, California for the 2024 Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Championship from April 24-27.
