TULSA, OKLA.—Graduate student Ryan Seggerman advanced to the quarterfinals in singles while also marching on to the doubles semifinals with teammate Brian Cernoch on Friday in the main draws at the ITA All-American Championships.
Seggerman lost the first set to Hawaii’s Andrew Ilagan before rallying to win in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. He moves on and will face Ethan Quinn of Georgia on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.
In doubles action, Seggerman and Cernocernoh won in straight sets over SMU’s Adam Neff and Pranav Kumar, 6-2, 7-5, on Friday afternoon. The Tar Heel graduate duo will meet Florida’s Tanapatt Nirundorn and Togan Tokac on Saturday in the semis.
