SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The University of Louisville’s Fabien Salle and Natan Rodrigues advance to the consolation doubles semifinals of the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Fall Championship Friday at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
Salle and Rodrigues, No. 48 in the ITA preseason doubles rankings, edged NC State’s Rafael Izquierdo Luque and Joseph Wayand 6-, 7-6 (3) in the consolation quarterfinals to reach Saturday’s semifinal round. They improve their fall record to 16-3.
In singles action, after reaching the consolation quarterfinals, Salle fell 6-2, 6-4 to Oklahoma’s Nathan Han. The graduate senior wraps up his fall season with a team-best 12-3 record.
