CLEMSON, S.C. – Head Coach Boomer Saia and his staff announce the addition of Gaia Parravicini to their inaugural Fall 2024 class. The addition of Gaia rounds out the nine new student-athletes to the women’s tennis program. Artemis Aslanisvili, Amélie Šmejkalová, and Sophie Clayton signed to the team on National Signing Day in November 2023. Kinsey Crawford, Candela Yecora, Annabelle Davis, Romana Cisovska, and Ria Bhakta signed to the team in the spring.

“Having a top-10 recruiting class is an excellent tribute to our staff, Tom and Ashleigh, and the work they have put in,” Head Coach Boomer Saia said on the 2024 class. “Recruiting is a top priority in our program, which will help build significant momentum for the future!”

In June, the Tennis Recruiting Network ranked the Clemson Women’s Fall 2024 class as No. 7 in the nation. This class is the highest-ranked class since 2012 (No. 7). With the roster now at 10, the Tigers are ready to succeed on the courts this upcoming year.

Prior to her commitment to Clemson, Parravicini made her mark on the international stage. On the WTA circuit, She reached a career-high doubles ranking of 733 and a career-high singles ranking of 1290, showcasing her success.

In 2024, Parravicini achieved significant success on the professional tennis circuit, winning a Professional Doubles Title at the prestigious $15,000 event in Egypt. Demonstrating consistent performance, Parravicini also reached the finals in two other professional doubles tournaments, both held in Tunisia.

“Gaia is going to be a tremendous fit with our culture and team,” Saia said about Parravicini’s addition. He continued, “She has the exact work ethic and personality we look for in future Tigers. Gaia is one of the world’s most talented junior doubles players and will have a huge impact on our program. We are excited to welcome Gaia to Clemson!”

Parravicini’s addition to the Clemson Tigers women’s tennis team marks a significant step forward as the team builds a competitive and dynamic roster. Her international experience and talent are expected to contribute significantly to the team in the upcoming seasons.
