NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 37 Vanderbilt women’s tennis team defeated No. 53 Alabama 4-0 in Friday afternoon’s SEC matchup.
Anessa Lee and Bridget Stammel were the first doubles team to win, putting the Dores within one point to clinch the doubles point. No. 58 Marcella Cruz and Celia-Belle Mohr helped earn the advantage for Vanderbilt with their 6-3 win on Court 2.
With a one-point lead, the Dores headed into singles. Amy Stevens added to the team score with her two-set victory on Court 6. No. 46 Mohr extended her singles win streak to three and earned the Dores’ third team point on Court 1. Lee solidified the win for Vanderbilt after winning in two sets on Court 4.

After the Alabama match, the Dores hosted Bellarmine, where they were able to pick up a 4-0 win.
Vanderbilt will play its third match of the weekend when they host No. 13 Auburn at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
