In one flawless week, Borna Coric has taken his ranking from 152 to 29. That jump of 123 spots is thanks to a command performance at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati, where Coric defeated five Top-15 seeds, including Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas (also Cameron Norrie, Roberto Bautista Agut and Felix Auger-Aliassime) en route to his first Masters 1000 title.
The effort earns Coric, a former World No.12, a spot in the Top-30, and a seed at the US Open.
The 25-year-old Croatian is not the only one rising in this week’s rankings. Here’s a look at some other ATP ranking highlights for the week of August 22.
