Roland Garros main-draw play starts on Sunday.

“It’s important for me to keep laying on the foundations, and I will use the time to do a healthy block before the grass and subsequent hard-court seasons to give myself a chance to keep fit for the rest of the year,” Raducanu said.

The 2021 US Open champion was one of several Grand Slam champions who did not receive a Roland Garros main-draw wild card.

Former world No. 1 champions Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki as well as former US Open champion Dominic Thiem were also snubbed by the clay-court Grand Slam for main-draw wild cards.

The Toronto-born Raducanu has posted a 9-7 record this season.

Former world No. 10 Raducanu, who has posted a 33-34 record since he rousing run to the 2021 US Open title, underwent ankle surgery and surgery to both wrists in May of 2023.

Raducanu has not played since falling in the Mutua Madrid Open first round.
