SAN DIEGO, Calif. – USC men’s tennis wrapped up their run at the ITA National Fall Championships after No. 22 junior Peter Makk finished in the round of 16, on Thursday, November 2 in San Diego, Calif.
Makk was the lone Trojan to qualify for a berth in San Diego and kicked off the tournament with a strong win over No. 19 Ryan Fishback of Virginia Tech, winning 6-1, 6-2. However, Makk fell in the round of 16 with a close three-set match.
The tournament was the last action of the fall season for Makk, who finishes with an 8-5 record, including six wins against ranked opponents.
The Trojans will have one last opportunity to grab wins this fall when junior Karl Lee travels to the Jack Kramer Classic this weekend (Nov. 3-5) in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.
