Overbeck Reaches Consolation Round Of 16 In Tulsa



 TULSA, Okla. – Carl Emil Overbeck advanced in the consolation draw via a walkover, and the California men’s tennis junior will next play in the round of 16 on Friday at the ITA All-American Championships.
 
The Golden Bear had been scheduled to play Utah’s 21st-ranked Geronimo Espin Busleiman in Thursday’s round of 32 qualifying match, but the latter withdrew with an injury.
 
With a bye in the round of 32, Overbeck next plays Columbia’s 62nd-ranked Max Westphal on Friday at 9 a.m. CT/7 a.m. PT.
