At the end of October, Miyuka Kimoto led the team as the only player to advance to the quarterfinals of ITA Super Regionals in singles play before falling to Brittany Aguilar (Boston College). Viktoriya Kanapatskaya and Shiori Ito both advanced to the second round of play before suffering defeats. Zeynep Erman fell in her first match as well.
In Super Regionals doubles play, Kimoto and Polina Kozyreva won their first two matches, but were defeated in the third round by Amineni and Tewolde of Columbia. Meanwhile, Kanapatskaya and Ines Fonte fell in their first match to the duo of Frayman and Hoyce of Princeton.
At last years’ Buffalo Invite, the Orange faced St. John’s, Cornell, and the host team. Kimoto went 2-1 in singles, with defeats over Bouzgarrou (St. John’s) and Shih (Buffalo). The Sophomore also swept doubles play, two wins came from playing with Zeynep Erman and an additional victory was delivered with Ito.
A year ago, Ito won both her singles match before a loss on the last day of the invite to Schwarz (Buffalo).
