KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee women’s tennis head coach Alison Ojeda announced the 2025 dual spring schedule on Friday. The spring slate features 22 regular-season matches, with nine being played on Rocky Top.
“I love being a part of an athletic department that embraces challenges,” Ojeda said. “What’s even more exciting is when you have a team full of student-athletes who feel the same way! That’s exactly who our team is this year.”
The Lady Vols open spring play with a hidden dual at Texas on Jan. 10-12. The following weekend the team travels to face Wake Forest on Jan. 18.
“I love competing against these programs because they’re very well-coached and we know that their players will be prepared,” Ojeda stated.
The Big Orange returns home to host the ITA Kickoff Weekend at Goodfriend Tennis Center from Jan. 24-25. The weekend competition features Tennessee, NC State, Ohio State and Texas Tech. Pending the results of ITA Kickoff Weekend, the Lady Vols would participate in the ITA National Indoor Championships hosted by Northwestern and Illinois on Feb. 6-10.
Tennessee will round out non-conference action by traveling to Notre Dame on Feb. 14.
The conference schedule features seven home matches including, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi State, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida and Auburn.
The Big Orange will hit the road to face eight conference opponents including matches at Kentucky, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Vanderbilt.
“The most important thing for us to focus on right now is ourselves,” Ojeda added. “If we can continue to do that every day in practice then we will set ourselves up for a lot of exciting opportunities this spring.”
All home Friday matches will start at 5 p.m. and Sunday matches will begin at 1 p.m.
