Novak Djokovic Arrives At Wimbledon, And He’s Already Hitting

Just 18 days or so after right knee surgery, Novak Djokovic has arrived at Wimbledon where today he was out on the practice grounds hitting tennis balls.

Djokovic has surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus less than three weeks ago in Paris, and now the 37-year-old could be ready for Wimbledon where he’s won seven times and taken 34 of his last 35 matches.

The Serb also has his sights set on the Olympics at the end of July, but by practicing today on grass it would appear he’s going to try to be ready and risk it to win a 25th Grand Slam starting next week. Otherwise, why even try returning on grass?

Djokovic will have to make the transition from clay to grass and then back to clay. How the knee holds up with the low bounces and slick grass will be interesting to watch, if he does play.
