No. 9 USC Women's Tennis Sweeps the Sun Devils to stay Undefeated in Pac-12 Play

LOS ANGELES – USC women’s tennis (11-4, 4-0 Pac-12) remains undefeated in conference play to start the season, as it tamed the desert dwellers of Arizona State (8-8, 0-5 Pac-12) on Saturday, Mar. 16 at Marks Tennis Stadium.
 
The Women of Troy got off to a strong start in doubles, downing ASU by significant margins on courts 2 and 3. At court No. 2 Lily Fairclough/McKenna Koenig took Sara Svetac/Rachel Hanford 6-2, and at court No. 3 #36 Grace Piper/Parker Fry secured a 6-1 victory over Marianna Argyrokastriti/Emilija Tverijonaite for USC to claim the doubles point.  
 
On the singles side Grace Piper and Snow Han claimed points just moments between each other. No. 4 #51 Grace Piper was the first to put a point on the board in singles play, as she won 6-4, 6-2. No. 1 #88 Snow Han would strike next comfortably winning at 6-3, 6-2. 
 
No. 2 #31 Emma Charney clinched the match over Arizona State, winning 6-4, 6-2. 
 
USC faces Pepperdine next week on Mar. 23 at the Ralph Straus Tennis Center in Malibu, Calif..
