No. 50 Texas Tech Tops Spartans in Opening Round of Diablos Tennis Tournament

TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 50 Texas Tech defeated the No. 67 Michigan State men’s tennis team, 4-0, in the opening round of the Diablos Tennis Tournament on Friday on the campus of Arizona State University.

The Red Raiders (7-6) won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the first point of the dual, and followed with straight-set victories at No. 3, No. 5 and No. 1 singles to clinch the victory.

Michigan State (5-6) returns to action Saturday against No. 69 Liberty in the second day of the Diablos Tennis Tournament.
