No. 24 Jin Advances to Round of 16


TUSLA, Okla. – No. 24 Jeremy Jin is set to face No. 23 Samir Banerjee in the Round of 16 on Friday, Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. This marks the first Round of 16 appearance by Jin since playing with Florida.
 
Jin opened the Main Draw on Wednesday and defeating No. 41 Isaac Becroft (Oklahoma State) in three sets. Jin dropped the first set 3-6, but took the second set 6-4 to force a third. Jeremy dominated the final set winning 6-2 to advance to the Round of 32.
 
Jin saw similar success on Thursday as he was forced into a third set against No. 13 Sebastian Dominko (Notre Dame). Jeremy opened the match cruising to a 6-1 set victory, but Dominko came out strong in the second winning 6-2 to force a third set. Jin remained focus and clinched the third set 6-4 to secure his spot in the Round of 16.
 
Since starting 2024 ITA All-American play Jeremy has recorded two ranked wins in two days. Last year, the Australia native defeated four ranked opponents within four days of action.
