Torn ankle ligaments have sidelined Andy Murray indefinitely.
Former world No. 1 Murray is targeting a grass-court comeback if he regains health, the LTA said.

Announcing British players for The Queen’s Club field today, the LTA cited Murray, along with British No. 1 Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans and Jack Draper as home headliners for the cinch Championships, set for June 15-23rd on the historic Queen’s Club grass.
“Five-time champion Murray is hoping to play at the cinch Championships this year as he returns from injury,” the LTA said in a statement.
They British stars join a standout entry list that already includes Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
Despite tearing ligaments in his left ankle, Murray still manage to hobble through a third-set tiebreaker loss to Tomas Machac at the Miami Open last month.
“Yesterday towards the end of my match in Miami I suffered a full rupture of my ATFL and near full thickness rupture of my CFL,” Murray posted on Instagram. “I will see an ankle specialist when I return home to determine next steps.
“Goes without saying this is a tough one to take and I’ll be out for an extended period. But I’ll be back with 1 hip and no ankle ligaments when the time is right.”
The two-time Olympic gold-medal champion showed his competitive character after rolling his left ankle and crashing to the court in agony while leading Machac in the final set.
